This project was an application for the Ice Hotel in Jukkasjärvi in northern parts of Sweden. The idea was to create interlaced shapes of snow that looked like textile thread. All of the walls and corners could have winding dreamy feeling of soft weaves and laces. Snow that looked soft in contrast to the cold hard material.

The whole structure is created from what they call “snize” which is a bit harder snow so it makes it easier to sculpt. Unfortunatley we will not scuplt this room as only 15 participants out of almost 160 participants gets selected. But it was sure a fun project to work on.
